Juvéderm Vollure

There is a never-ending battle against looking old. Today there are options which were not available in the recent past. For patients who are not ready for invasive surgery, we have painless non-surgical options like Juvéderm Vollure available at H/K/B in the Charlotte area.

Loss of volume of the underlying facial tissue is inevitable as we age. This causes lines, wrinkles, and folds making us look older than we feel. We may consider a surgical option to help alter these facial flaws, but many Charlotte patients are seeking less invasive procedures with long-lasting results. The first step for reviving youthful appearance is replacing volume loss. We can use a strategic placement of Vollure to fill the void of volume loss without surgical intervention to obtain smooth, facial skin with fewer lines and wrinkles.

What Is Juvéderm Vollure?

Juvéderm Vollure is a hyaluronic acid dermal filler created to treat moderate to severe wrinkles and folds present in the mid-face area.

Juvéderm Vollure is a product of Vycross technology. This technology combines hyaluronic acid particles of high and low molecular weight for better cross-linking of the gel’s chains. Several dermal filler products consist of hyaluronic acid, a replacing ingredient that fills in lines and wrinkles caused by aging. A better feature of the material is to hold moisture for skin without allowing an excessive amount of water. Hyaluronic acid is sugar that naturally occurs in the human body.

Juvéderm Vollure Benefits:

How long does Vollure last?

The FDA approved Vollure for the treatment of wrinkles and lines for up to 18 months. According to their study, 68% of patients were very satisfied with their outcome at the 18-month mark.

Is Vollure Painful?

Juvéderm markets Vollure’s name as Juvéderm Vollure XC. The XC indicates the numbing agent lidocaine is included in the syringe to allow for a comfortable treatment. A numbing cream for pretreatment is also available if you prefer added pain blockage with your Vollure injections.

How is Vollure different from Voluma?

Vollure has a molecular weight mix specific for the mid-face with moderate to severe lines, wrinkles, and folds. Voluma is weighted heavier and not as flexible making it more appropriate for the cheek area that needs a firmer filler.

We like to use Voluma in areas requiring deeper levels of product injection and to use Vollure in areas that are more mobile.
